Participate in the grape harvest!
Sunday 14th September, Montpellier Wine Tours offered you the opportunity to enjoy a once in a lifetime experience and participate in a priviledged and friendly moment of grape harvesting in the South of France.
A radiant sun shined along the whole day devoted to pleasure and discovery. After an early start, the group was welcomed at château Saint-Martin-de-la-Garrigue, a beautiful rennaissance style house, where they were given the outfit of the perfect winegrower: a bucket, pruners and a straw hat…
READY TO PICK!
After some picking in an easy-going and friendly atmosphere, everyone went to regain its strengh with a beautiful buffet of cold cuts and cheeses obviously served with wines of the Languedoc. The harvest started again for a few moments more and the morning ended with a short visit of the domain and the oak barrel cellar.
As a reward for the hard work, a delicious lunch was served in the flourishing and shaded parc of the castle to all winegrower’s apprentice.
The afternoon streched out in good company and with good wines under the plane trees… The harvest 2014 is now in the cellar.
